After a significant surge in revenue, Salesforce announced a major expansion in India this week. According to the latest announcement, the company plans to grow its employee base in India to over 17,000 this year. Given that its employee base sat at 14,000 at the close of 2025, this marks a noticeable employment drive, particularly during a time when other tech companies are issuing layoffs.

South Asia president and CEO at Salesforce, Arundhati Bhattacharya, explained that these new roles have been made possible thanks to the performance so far, with “gone up by 47 per cent, increasing to $1.5 billion.”

This looks to be a wider trend in a highly positive development, with India’s  IT industry set to add a net 135,000 jobs in this fiscal year. This surge in revenue and subsequent job opportunities promise to further stimulate the tech industry in India, creating more roles for talent in the country.

It also means that Salesforce implementation partners across the region will increasingly become a critical resource for businesses navigating digital transformation.

How Salesforce Implementation Partners deliver

As Salesforce doubles down on India as a key base for South Asia and adds thousands of roles to its workforce here, we expect revenue from the use of Salesforce products to grow even further.

Here, Salesforce implementation partners in the region are likely to be turned to following a demand from organizations seeking customizations and bespoke solutions built natively on Salesforce to achieve their business goals.

Salesforce implementation partners give enterprises and business leaders the confidence to work with certified providers. The decision makers are able to support targeted outcomes such as unifying CRMs, building enterprise tools with Salesforce data or integrating complex cloud solutions.

Solutions architects and developers at these Salesforce implementation partner companies are playing an outsize role in the revenue increase we have seen to date by helping businesses use the platform in a variety of ways.

Individuals playing important roles here include Alok Kagrawal and Charly Prinsloo, among others.

Here, Ness Digital Engineering excels in Salesforce Lifecycle Management and customer analytics and is a certified Salesforce Crest partner.

Data is the bedrock of valuable AI

With an increased presence in India, we can expect Salesforce to represent an integral part of the AI ecosystem.

Data is the foundation of AI tools for business, and Salesforce is the CRM that many organizations use to capture these valuable insights across operations. In recent years, Salesforce has been sure to keep pace with the AI revolution with data solutions that can be built on and customized as needed by enterprises.

Through its data cloud, Salesforce enables businesses to build their own data moat to allow LLMs to train on private company data to build AI solutions that actually understand the needs of the business and its customers.

The company continues to be a preferred choice with enterprise users exploring AI due to the decades of trust this legacy software firm has built up and the layers of preexisting infrastructure that have been built with trust and privacy as a priority.

India’s Salesforce Implementation Partners allow enterprises to build on their existing CRM and data tools, leveraging the data foundation available with Salesforce to launch AI products that enhance operations and exceed customer expectations.

Salesforce India doubles down on new tools

In addition to its ongoing recruitment drive, Salesforce India is active with over 850 non-profits.

Further, the company has pledged that future revenue increases will find its way back to the community, training more students with emerging skills this year.

Improved support for local languages is another important development. As the company continues to increase its use of AI agents, attention is being paid to the needs in India as seen by the launch of Agentforce Voice in Hindi.

Work is also underway to extend the service in Salesforce to other Indian languages, with more languages to be added in the next few months.
