Tinker Coders introduces Coding Summer Camp for K-12 students in rural areas

Tinker Coders, an Indian EdTech coding platform, has recently launched its online coding summer camp for K12 students where a kid can explore the world of coding and experiential learning. The program aims to connect all the students in rural, semi-urban areas from Tier 2/Tier 3 cities digitally and motivate them to adopt newer learning methods. The sessions will be of one hour each consisting of 10-15 children per batch and a total of 10 sessions will be offered to the students at an affordable pricing of INR 499 only per student.

The objective behind initiating this campaign is to benefit students coming from aspirational sections of society by developing visualization, creativity, logical thinking, analytical thinking, design thinking, and problem-solving abilities amongst them. The online camp can be accessed through smartphones by students and the requirement of computer and laptop would not be a compulsion for the students

Coding is considered as one of the proven tools to improve the overall development of mental and logical skills and by inculcating the right skill at the right time students can become problem solvers of tomorrow. Speaking on the launch of the campaign, Anoop Gautam, CEO and Co-founder, Tinker Coders says, “With the rise of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, the government has ordered schools to remain shut with no classes. During this period of distress, it is crucial to understand the mental health of kids as the pandemic increases the amount of uncertainty of things getting normal amongst all. Therefore, this initiative will result in engaging kids to cope up with stress with the exciting community events and webinars that are available in the program. Also, young minds would be able to work on mindful and amazing projects that will escalate their coding knowledge and help them to become super coding masters”.

Through this online campaign, students who are applying will be able to participate in international competitions, getting global exposure from more than 40 countries. In addition, free entry to the Coding Olympiad will also be given to the participants. This initiative taken by the company, will not only extend financial support to the children and parents but also facilitate immense learning opportunities.
