Freelance marketplaces have been on the rise for a while now. Experts bid on jobs, while those seeking the expertise put those projects out there. However, this marketplace remains unorganised, even as it remains untouched by the technology that others are leveraging.

Scalenut, a content intelligence SaaS platform, uses AI to help businesses power their content needs. It is building a self-serve AI-enabled Content Intelligence Saas platform, using AI and NLP to automate content research and content creation.
The Tech Panda spoke to Mayank Jain, Co-founder of Scalenut, about their vision.
We want to enable millions of businesses worldwide to create powerful content. It doesn’t have to be cumbersome like it is today. Everyone should be able to power their business using content
“We saw massive potential in organising the white-collared gig economy space. That was just a starting point. There were significant tailwinds in the technology advancements in this space,” he says.
“We want to enable millions of businesses worldwide to create powerful content. It doesn’t have to be cumbersome like it is today. Everyone should be able to power their business using content.
“The current solutions are fragmented, making it extremely difficult for creators as well as businesses to scale content. We want to change that,” he adds with enthusiasm.
The startup’s content research automation tool, SEO Assistant, helps content strategists and content creators to get powerful insights with a click of a button. Its AI Editors help them create content at least 10x faster.
“As we progress, we will continue to strengthen our offerings for the independent content creators,” says Jain.
“With our disruptive technology stack, we enable independent content creators to carry out their tasks with much higher efficiencies. They not only get the projects with pre-defined standardised inputs, but they can use Scalenut’s technology to create content. That helps them become faster and helps them create high-quality content, backed by data,” he adds.

The startup uses AI to automate the entire writing process. They have automated both short-form and long-form copywriting. Whether it is ad copies, social media captions, blog ideas, meta descriptions, or entire long-form blogs, everything is covered. On top of this, we have built several layers of intelligence using AI and NLP to make the output high-quality and engaging.
“The year 2020 showed a significant rise in the use of AI in content marketing. This trend has been largely driven by the increasing reliance on AI to power content marketing, content distribution, and content discovery,” he explains.
Scalenut has three main pillars, managed marketplace for human assisted services, AI copywriting, and content research automation tools.
The platform is used by independent content creators, businesses, and agencies across 50+ countries. Content creators use the platform to automate their content research and creation tasks as well as get work from global brands.

Content strategists use the platform for carrying out research saving them hours. Backed by NLP and AI, their research tool presents accurate insights in a simple and easy to understand manner.
“Agencies and businesses use all our three pillars to scale their content creation process,” he says.
Content has always propelled businesses forward, and in the modern age, businesses are using content to increase their digital footprint. They either create their own content via blog posts, podcasts, and videos, or by sponsoring the content of others.
Social media has made it easier for companies to share this content across platforms. Often, the best way to garner attention is by creating content that speaks to the need of their users.
Our platform helps businesses leverage technology tools like research and writing automation. In addition, they can get human intervention without leaving the platform and hence making the entire process much more efficient
According to 1827 Marketing, data shows the ROI of content marketing consistently outperforms traditional advertising and paid search. 36% of marketers say they shifted paid advertising budgets to content marketing.
To scale content creation, platforms like Scalenut come into play.
“Our platform helps businesses leverage technology tools like research and writing automation. In addition, they can get human intervention without leaving the platform and hence making the entire process much more efficient,” says Jain.
Today, there are various tools, talent networks and agencies in this space. However, there are no unified solutions, says Jain. Even if there are, they cater to only large enterprises.
“We are building a unified content intelligence SaaS platform. We are not only creating the right set of technology tools, but also bringing top talent under the same roof to ensure businesses get a one stop solution for their content needs,” he explains.
“Our team brings in decades of experience of building marketplaces and SaaS solutions. There are hardly any platforms available that combine technology and talent the way we do. We feel this is going to be one of the strongest differentiators for Scalenut,” he adds.
The startup launched its SaaS platform on 15th of September 2021 and have seen an encouraging response from users. They have over 3000 signups within 15 days of launch (independent creators, businesses, and agencies) from 50+ countries. They are currently serving users from the US, UK, Australia, Singapore, India, and more.
Jain doesn’t see competition at the moment.
“The industry is still very new and the category is only getting created. There are no large significant players at the moment,” he concludes.
