SMEs can now create their website in 13 minutes with Free NowFloats Boost App

NowFloats, a Hyderabad based company enables SMBs come online and get their own website using a SMS and they also automatically optimise their website for local search. Incorporated in 2012, the startup has now come up with  an App – NowFloats Boost which will enable SMBs across the world build their own website.

The app is currently available in iOS and Android Platforms. The app is free to download and the user can make an in-app purchase to get more features.

Once downloaded, creating a website is just a matter of entering some basic business related information. The business gets a free subdomain at  businessname.nowfloats.com.  Once the page is created, it allows you to post an update, along with a photo. All the updates are instant and are reflected immediately on the website.  There is an option to send the update to the subscribers of the business, and posting on Facebook and twitter – when a new update is composed. Along with the mobile interface, a web interface also has been provided for managing the website.

The messages businesses send will be automatically tagged for higher  Location Based Search-Engine-OptimisationTM (LBS), which (with repeat messaging) ensures their website comes higher in search results. This seems to be their best feature.

Although basic updates are free, businesses can purchase the in-app features to get the best out of this app.  These include Image Gallery( Rs 199) which lets the business to add photos of the products to website,  Talk-to-Business, which lets visitors connect instantly to the business( Rs. 299) and Business Hours, which lets people know when a business is open or it isn’t(Rs. 299).

The design is quite intuitive and a novice can easily perform the steps required to set up a website.  At 10.33 MB, the app is a bit on heavier side, and one of the main features – lead generation through Talk-to-Business has been made an in-app purchase.

NowFloats, founded by Nitin Jain, Neeraj Sabharwal, Jasminder Singh Gulati and Ronak Kumar Samantray has earlier raised investment from Blume Ventures, Mumbai Angels and individual angels. NowFloats has managed to acquire around 12,500 customers in over 50 countries so far, and are now in the process of raising the next round to further accelerate the growth operations.
