According to DigiTimes Apple “is expected to introduce its next-generation iPad and iPhone series around the middle of 2013, which will boost demand for ICs in particular communications related chips during the latter half of the first quarter, according to the observers.” Also, the component orders are expected to jump between March and April of next year. This boost is always a clear sign that a new Apple product is inbound.
Mid-year would mean a shift in Apple’s current launch strategy. The firm released its iPhone 5 in September and then refreshed its iPad tablets in October.
