MotaChashma was launched in October, 2013 which is 3 months ago. It was an initiative of two alumni of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar. Passion in Education Sector and past experiences in the same helped them in starting this second venture. It is really doing well & traffic is increasing continuously on the website which proves that the idea and concept behind it is being appreciated by the target audience. People really appreciate the concept and the structured manner in which the information is provided thus it is the reason why they are getting an excellent traffic.

The Story Continues…

MotaChashma founder Lokesh Sabharwal

The startup wasn’t easy, says MotaChashma founder Lokesh Sabharwal. They surveyed many students to gather their pain areas and informatoin they need the most. The research revealed that students were looking for a trusted source on which they could rely on for the information which was not easily available. Apart from the market research, the learning from the founding team’s first start-up also helped them in designing this need based portal.  MotaChashma is self-funded currently but they are developing few services which they will introduce very soon to generate revenue.

  Story behind the Startup

The team’s first startup was into Career Counselling and Information and it gave them an opportunity to talk to students, parents, teachers & principals. Education Megafest of two days branded as Paathshala 2 Profession(P2P) was conducted by MotaChashma which saw a participation of around 6000 students and got excellent feedback from everyone.

They soon realized that to benefit a huge number of students, they need to enter into the web world and this is how Motachashma was started. Their spirits got a boost when a case study was published in National University of Singapore in their journal Asian Case Research Journal (ACRJ) about the Education Mega fest Paathshala 2 Profession.

 TTP’s take on MotaChashma

The intention is quite good, and given the experience with their previous startup, the team is surely taking steps in the right direction. However, such platforms need lot of exposure into the student domain, to become successful. Fresh and updated content, along with sound marketing strategy is required for making this startup a huge success.
