DreamHack, the largest esports & gaming fest in Hyderabad from Nov 4-6

Hyderabad’s Hitex Exhibition Center is all set to rock the esports party that’s open to all. The three-day, action-packed gaming extravaganza has something for everyone — gaming and esports tournaments, a chess death match, meet-and-greet for fans, dance and music zones, standup comics, shopping, food and much more!

The countdown to DreamHack — the world’s largest digital festival that will take place in Hyderabad’s Hitex Exhibition Center from November 4-6, 2022 — has begun. The excitement is palpable as the most anticipated gaming event of the year by NODWIN Gaming, the gaming and esports arm of Nazara Technologies, promises an exciting lineup of fun-filled activities including gaming and chess tournaments, music and dance, chess workshops, retro gaming, shopping, food and much more.

Here is a sneak peek into the highlights of the three-day mega celebration supported by the Government of Telangana. Other partners at DreamHack India are Intel, Monster, Hyundai, Bingo.

Gaming

The KO Fight Night winner will take home a massive cash prize from the  prize pool of INR 4.5 lakhs. The prize pool for Tekken 7  is INR 3,60,000 Street Fighter 5  will see a  prize pool of INR 30,000, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate  players will compete for a pool of INR 60,000.

Retro Zone, which is an open to all gaming arena where you can enjoy retro-style gaming with popular board games like Monopoly, Ludo, Carrom, Snakes & Ladders and UNO that offer a prize pool of INR 50,000. Games like Tekken (PS), Contra, Pacman and Tetris will offer a prize pool of INR 25,000.

Panfest

Battle Royale enthusiasts will like the Pan Fest stage, which is ready to rock DreamHack. Teams will gather in the PUBG New State lobby to compete for a prize pool of INR 5 Lakhs. The 10 matches held in this zone each day will include 16 teams competing for monetary prizes.

Bring your own device @ lan arena

You can play thrilling PC and mobile games for all three days and win cash prizes from a pool of INR 5 Lakhs if you believe your device is too lucky for you. If so, get your Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Ticket and head straight to the LAN arena. As it brings together gamers, friends, and family to experience the gaming excitement, BYOD is seen as the essence of DreamHack. The best aspect of this area is that it welcomes all players and offers a variety of gaming genres.

 Chess

  • With the addition of Chess, the DreamHack celebration just grew bigger and will undoubtedly generate some talk. The visitors surely have extra reasons to rejoice with a huge total prize pool of Rs. 20 lakhs.
  • For the first time, visitors can enjoy two open chess tournaments at DreamHack and also watch a nail-biting death-match between two leading grandmasters – Gukesh D and Arjun Erigaisi.
  • DreamHack Rapid open tournament & DreamHack Blitz open tournament (Prize pool INR 10 Lakhs)
  • Comedians on the Board (COTB), one of the most popular events in the world of online chess previously hosted by Samay Raina, will be played live for the first time,  at DreamHack for a prize pool of Rs. 5 lakhs.
  • Eight of the strongest chess-playing standup comedians including Tanmay Bhat, Samay Raina, Biswa Kalyan, Joel D’souza, Anirban Dasgupta, Vaibhav Sethia, Manik Mahna, and Sumit Sourav will face off against each other to win the Rs.5 lakh prize and become the ultimate COTB champion

Other activities include free chess workshops and fun activities along with meet-and-greet with chess stars. Streamers can live stream all gaming content and interact with their fans online.

PC Modding

Dreamhack Hyderabad is going to feature a PC Modding competition where tech enthusiasts will have to bring out their creative sides. This competition is for all PC modders who like to take their customizations to the next level. PC Modders have much to celebrate this time with a massive prize pool of 1.5 Lakhs waiting for the winners.

Meet & Greet

Another highlight of DreamHack is its Meet & Greet Zone where you get a chance to meet India’s celebrity gamers, content creators and influencers. For all die-hard fans of renowned gamers like Mortal, Scout, Thug, Sid Joshi, Ocean, Payal, Xyaa, Krutika etc. this is the golden opportunity to get cool selfies and autographs with their favourites. Also catch a glimpse of some of the most popular comedians like Tanmay Bhat, Samay Raina, Biswa Kalyan, Joel D’souza, Anirban Dasgupta, Vaibhav Sethia, Manik Mahna, and Sumit Sourav. Bingo! Streamer Zone

If you are passionate about streaming exciting games to a wider audience then Bingo! Streamer Zone is the perfect platform to realize your dream. Snapdragon Pro Series (SPS)

Apart from these activities, Snapdragon Pro Series (SPS) – the world’s largest multi-genre mobile esports competition, will be hosted at DreamHack. Watch out for eight specially invited SPS teams — Marcos Gaming, Team XO, Marcos Esports, Crowned YT (TWOB), Dark Phoenix, Chacha Esports, InYourDream (Hyderabad Hydras) and Rockstar — compete at the event for a prize pool of 8 lakhs.

Breezer Vivid Shuffle (BVS)

Raising the entertainment quotient high, DreamHack is also inviting you to join the #BeatsOfTheStreet high voltage block party with the youth icon Vijay Deverakonda. Witness electrifying performances by some of the most sensational hip hop voices in the country like Brodha V, one of India’s biggest rappers; Seedhe Maut, the Delhi-based duo who have used their lyrical dexterity to push forward the boundaries of Hindi rap; Hanumankind, a lyrical rapper who made his debut at NH7 Weekender in 2019 and DJ Kani, one of the topmost hip hop DJs who introduced India to Video Turntablism.

  • Cosplay Zone – In this gaming carnival-like setup, dress up as a favourite game character and compete for the ‘Best Cosplayer’ title  for a prize pool of INR 1.5 lakhs.
  • Just Dance Zone – Show off your best moves at the Just Dance Arcade and win from a prize pool of INR 15,000.
  • Shop till you drop – Done with all the action? Head straight to the arcade and pick up some cool DreamHack merchandise before you head to the food stalls to grab a bite.
