{Automation watch: Atmos Systems} Warehouse automation solutions for e-commerce and logistics

In this context, warehouse automation has emerged to be the most essential requirement, especially for e-commerce players who deal with bulks of goods and items. From inbound transit to storage to outbound transit, there are a number of areas that require adequate focus and advancements in order to make the whole process seamless.

In this context, Atmos Systems is a product of Saifi Con Fab Systems Private Limited making highly customizable tailor-made conveyor solutions for different industries. The company has adopted state-of-the-art innovations in the segment and is investing in newer technologies like ASRS (Automated storage and retrieval), AGV and ACR (Autonomous case handling and robotic) systems.

The Tech Panda spoke to Khursheed Alam, Co-Founder of Atmos Systems about their vision.

“Even as warehousing is a necessity for several businesses, several businesses lack the knowhow about what tools are most appropriate for their needs. We help such businesses by providing turnkey solutions for warehouse automation,” he says.

“We provide warehouse automation solutions to companies across different industries and scales. If you look at it, warehouse automation is the most pertinent requirement for any business that deals with bulk items and goods,” says Alam.

Inspiration

Atmos has been catering to the manufacturing industry for the last 30 years under the brand name Saifi.

“In the wake of the rise of industries like e-commerce, 3PL services, FMCG etc over the past few years, we saw an opportunity to further provide our expertise,” says Alam.

Following thorough R&D, they’ve enhanced their offerings and automation solutions to transform the warehouse automation industry.

“The idea of coming with a new brand Atmos is to showcase our commitment and expertise in the field and we want to narrow our approach for this niche market,” he adds.

Alam views the competition in the market as colleagues as well.

“Every brand working towards warehousing automation is supposedly a competitor of ours, but we prefer to view them as co-stakeholders in a sector that has immense scalability and scope,” he says.

“We have a strong lineage in automation of industries, and the same experience is combined with the latest cutting-edge technology and robotics under the umbrella of Atmos Systems,” he adds.

Growth Story

In terms of stats, Saifi Con-Fab System, the parent company of Atmos, is doing and INR40 crore business annually with a 30% growth rate.

“Our child company “Atmos Systems” is on the path of creating a buzz in the market with highly efficient solutions and has achieved success as an emerging player in the warehouse automation sector,” Alam says proudly.

“When it comes to success, we already established ourselves as a brand under the name of “Saifi Con-Fab System” in conveyor automation business,” he adds.

Future Plans

In the immediate future, Alam reveals plans of launching a new factory and experience centre where one can experience the solutions first hand and identify as to what would solve their purposes.

“We intend to manufacture next generation warehouse automation and material handling solutions at the centre. Besides, we also plan to expand our sales presence across different metro cities in the country while diversifying our product portfolio,” he concludes.
