Apple’s iOS Software Offers a Look At The Next iPhone’s Screen

While Apple is known to prototype and test tens or even hundreds of different designs, materials, and configurations, a recent find in the company’s latest iOS software seems to confirm that the next iPhone will feature a taller display.

Multiple engineering parts from China leaked over the past few weeks and detailed a taller display with the same width as the current iPhone. With Apple’s Xcode development application, a simple tweak shows just how the next iPhone will look when the resolution is increased to 640 x 1136. 9to5Mac notes that 5 rows of icons will fit on the screen instead of 4 like in the current iPhone, and that apps will scale to take advantage of the extra height.
