Aidia Technovations Initiative “imd1” collaborates with Dr. Patil and SIOM

Mumbai and Pune-based tech startup Aidia Technovations Private Limited has been working on the co-curriculum marketplace for MADS (Music, Art, Dance and Sports). For the same effort, they announced the imd1 (I Am The 1) initiative, which will combine the best of brick-and-mortar and digital resources to connect all stakeholders in the MADS vertical with one of its kind technology and quality services.

As part of its plan to widen its reach, the company is collaborating with various educational institutions under VIBE (Vibrant Institutions for Beyond Education) for information sharing. As a first step in the direction of the VIBE initiative, imd1 has collaborated with two renowned institutions, Dr. DY Patil B-School and Sinhgad Institute of Management (SIOM).

Talking about this collaboration, Dr. Chandrani Singh, Director of SIOM, said, “We as an institution believe in the power of co-curricular activities and how it can be a game changer in students’ overall development apart from education. As an institution, we have always encouraged our students to give due importance to co-curricular activities and have tried to interweave it with education. I strongly believe that imd1, with its VIBE initiative, is determined to address all the pain points of the co-curricular marketplace and contribute to an individual’s overall development and spread positivity. It will help our students to pursue their interests beyond education.” Singh herself was a 100-metre national record holder for sub-junior girls and a disciple of classical music and Rabindra sangeet.

Dr. Sandip Sane, Director of Dr. DY Patil B-School said “Dr. DY Patil institutions are known for creating various benchmarks in MADS for beyond education, right from creating infrastructure to the continuous flow of talents. We, as an institute, believe in contributing to the socio-economic and ethical development of the nation by ensuring overall development of students, by providing quality education, and giving due importance to co-curricular activities. We are proud to associate with imd1 for its VIBE initiative, which focuses on students’ overall development through its various initiatives that encourage students to polish and recognize their talent along with education.”

In June, Aidia Technovations raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a group of investors, which were planned for team expansion, technology, content creation and branding for imd1. The company has already launched its website www.imd1.co, which presents stories of achievers such as Padma Shri, Khel Ratna, and Arjuna Award winners.

Jigish Sonagara, founder of Aidia Technovations said, “We are happy to collaborate with India’s most prominent institutions, Dr. DY Patil B-School and SIOM. For our aspiration to create and standardize co-curriculum in MADS, we see VIBE playing an important part. Educational Institutions can play a big role for students’ overall development Beyond Education and we look forward to collaborating with many more institutions under VIBE in the coming months.”

A space catering to aspiring artists, dancers, sports people, and musicians is a significant one in India, given the talent one can find here. The imd1 initiative could help nurture many such talents. A few other startups making an effort in the same space are Mavrix, Kroomsa, Mug to Mike, Muzenly, and MuSlate, which cater to aspiring singers and musicians. Poster Gully, Colorvan, Canvs, and Best College Art provide a platform for artists to showcase their work and help sell as well. EduSports and KOOH Sports are tying up with schools to encourage sports. And companies like Dextra, Talent Flush, and Cupick are popular Indian apps for musicians, filmmakers, actors, models, photographers, writers, dancers, artists, designers, and others, to meet like-minded people.
